This is a PC version of the UNIX full screed editor vi. All of the
commands I have tried work the same or very similar to the UNIX
program.
The main advantage of this version, is that I have been able to edit
a file as large as 6.5 million bytes. I do not know what the limit is
for the maximum. The file, of course, was an ASCII file which did
contain non-ASCII characters.
You MUST create a sub-directory for the DRIVE where the file is that
you will be creating or editing. The sub-directory MUST be named TMP.
If you do not do this, you will receive a file creation error message.
The vi file size is a little larger than other versions, but it is well
worth it if you need to edit or create very large ASCII files.
